Behind the name: The origin of the Flavour RPA

Several years ago, the Team Manager of the Protea Ladies Team, at that stage Amanda Swart, approached us to develop and produce a uniquely flavoured Instant dough that they wanted to fish during their Three Nations tour in Namibia. Amanda asked us to make an Instant Dough with a yellow colour and to flavour it with a combination of our Banana X and Vampire flavour, to create a new combination, that was not well known at that stage, namely a Banana and Garlic flavour combination. 

We wasted no time and started the development process the next day. We didn't have a recipe to work off,  so it was just a case of trial and error until we got it right. The first test batch was produced and we informed Amanda that the product was ready for testing.

The Test Instant Dough was a immediate hit and the Protea ladies produced big bags of fish during their tour in Namibia. At that stage we did not have a name for the new Garlic/Banana Instant Dough. 

a Month or two after the Tri Nations tour, Magic Baits held a children's fishing day for a foster home. Thankfully the committee of Rpa grounds at the Vaaldam gave us the venue for free for the day.

This was the perfect situation to run a second field test with the new Instant Dough. Every peg on the day caught most of their fish on the new Instant Dough and it was just there and then that we decided to name the new Instant Dough. We named it, Rpa Instant Dough.

The New Rpa Instant Dough was launched soon after that.

Over time it became apparant that this flavour was special and that the fish loved this new flavour combination. It was only a matter of time before we received numerous request, from anglers that had massive success with the new Rpa Instant Dough, to produce a Rpa Flavour in several of our other ranges. 

We now produce a Rpa Flavour in the following product ranges

2) Boldips

3) Snow-eez

4) Bleeding Floaties

5) Instant Dough
